Minute by Governor Sir John Pope Hennessy.

It was surprising to learn yesterday from Mr. Wright the arrangements seem to have been made for allowing him to occupy his quarters on his arrival, and even now he is compelled to accept the hospitality very kindly offered by the late Head Master Dr. Stewart. From what Mr. Wright mentioned there appears to be some loss of time in the round about way of his communications with the Government; but in fact he is entitled in all such matters to the privileges such as Dr. Stewart had, and should communicate direct with the Colonial Secretary.
